On behalf of the Internationals Art Channel Foundation, we invite you to attend the premiere evening on Thursday evening 23 march (starting at 7:30 PM) in Cinecitta of the second series of three short artist portraits.

Host Jan Zobel, dancer and choreographer / program maker city & region – Theater Kunstmin / Energiehouse Dordrecht, introduces the short films about Jacq Palinckx, Ulrike Doszmann and Sanne Bax.

Jacq Palinckx

As an idiosyncratic guitarist/composer, guitarist Jacques Palinckx (Tilburg, 1959) often moves with humor on the interface between improvised music, avant-rock and composed music. In addition, there is interaction with his visual language in the form of collage-like graphic novels and films full of suspense. In 1992 he won the Dutch Podium Award.

Ulrike Doszmann

Born in Dresden in the GDR (former East Germany), Ulrike Doszmann ended up studying theater dance at the Fontys Dance Academy in Tilburg (NL). She danced with RAZ, Panama Pictures, Vloeistof, among others, and created her own work, such as ‘Stalin’s Hamster’ and ‘White ear’. Dancing in public space has a special place in her oeuvre.

Sanne Bax

In the TextielLab / Textielmuseum Tilburg, she discovered the possibilities of tufting. That gave her the idea to study textiles as a free art form. After the Rietveld Academy Amsterdam she showed her first textile sculptures in Luycks Gallery Tilburg; then a spatial installation based on her explorations in wild nature during Art Rotterdam 2023.

From 19:00, the Atrium will be open for walk-ins. 19:30 Hall 1 will open and the premiere program will begin. Afterwards 21:00 is the after-party in the Atrium.

Namens de Stichting Internationals Art Channel nodigen wij u uit voor het bijwonen van de première-avond op donderdagavond 23 maart (aanvang 19:30 u) in Cinecitta van de tweede serie van drie korte kunstenaarsportretten.

Gastheer Jan Zobel, danser en choreograaf / programmamaker stad & regio – Schouwburg Kunstmin / Energiehuis Dordrecht, introduceert de drie korte films over Jacq Palinckx, Ulrike Doszmann en Sanne Bax.

Jacq Palinckx

Gitarist Jacques Palinckx (Tilburg, 1959) beweegt zich als eigenzinnig gitarist / componist vaak vol humor op het raakvlak van geïmproviseerde muziek, avant-rock en gecomponeerde muziek. Daar komt de interactie met zijn beeldtaal nog bij in de vorm van collage-achtige graphic novels en films vol suspense. Hij won in 1992 de Nederlandse Podiumprijs.

Ulrike Doszman

Geboren in Dresden in voormalig Oost-Duitsland belandde Ulrike Doszmann voor haar studie theaterdans aan de Fontys Dansacademie in Tilburg. Sanne Bax

In het TextielLab / Textielmuseum, ontdekte ze de mogelijkheden van het tuften. Dat bracht haar op het idee om textiel als vrije kunstvorm te gaan studeren. Na de Rietveld Academie Amsterdam toonde ze haar eerste textielsculpturen in Luycks Gallery Tilburg; daarna een ruimtelijke installatie op basis van haar exploraties in de wilde natuur tijdens Art Rotterdam 2023.

Vanaf 19:00 is het Atrium geopend voor de inloop. 19:30 u gaat Zaal 1 open en begint het première-programma. Na afloop 21:00 is de nazit in het Atrium.
